Application for the Schumann Chamber Music Prize 2025
The application deadline for the Schumann Chamber Music Prize Frankfurt 2025 is November 1, 2024.

Participation
Chamber music ensembles of all nations are eligible to participate in the piano trio category. The average age of the ensemble members must not be older than 32 years (deadline 13.03.2025). No member of an ensemble may have been born before 13.03.1990. In addition to meeting the formal requirements, a video pre-selection will determine admission to the second round.
Conditions of participation for the Schumann Chamber Music Prize 2025
Program
- Round: Video with free choice of program from at least two epochs, duration approx. 45 minutes
- Round: The compulsory work is a piano trio by Robert Schumann or Johannes Brahms or Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. In addition, the program must contain freely chosen works from at least two epochs. The total program may not be longer than 75 minutes.
- Round: Finale in the Mozart Hall of the Alte Oper: free choice of program, duration approx. 45 minutes.
Individual movements are not permitted! Within the overall program, one classical work and one work published after 1980 must be performed.

Registration deadline: 1 November 2024, stating the complete program including time details
Registration fee: 50 euros per ensemble member
Payment of the registration fee: possible via PayPal or bank transfer.

- Tabular curriculum vitae of each ensemble member
- Contact details of all ensemble members (address, e-mail, telephone, date and place of birth)
- Ensemble photo (file name: name of the ensemble & photographer, maximum size 5 MB, format: JPG)
- Ensemble biography in tabular form and as continuous text (maximum 1,500 characters including spaces, please print-ready, maximum size 5 MB, format: PDF).
- Link to the video recording (YouTube or Vimeo)
- if applicable (if you pay the registration fee by bank transfer): Proof / copy of payment receipt, maximum size 5 MB, format: PDF or JPG
