In the context of the Berliner Festspiele, this year's Tanztreffen der Jugend has invited alumni and students of the MA CoDE to be represented with various formats.
Alumna Anja Bornsek and studeirends Ewelina Zielonka, Laura Hicks, Hannah Bühler, Oksana Griaznova will give a physical insight into the selected piece "Höhenangst" by the Tanzwerkstatt of the Oldenburg State Theatre through exercises and dance examples
MA CoDE alumnus Jason Adam Jacobs will lead the workshop "Moving Narration through Translation"

Düsseldorf's tanzhaus nrw opens its new season on 22 August 2014. The new director Bettina Masuch and her team will present among others 2 world premieres and 5 German premieres. There will also be a Marathon Talk: A special kind of conversation format promises interesting perspectives on the way artists, curators and cultural politicians tick. Prof. Ingo Diehl will take part in this unusual conversation format
MA CoDE alumna Anja Bornsek will offer a Physical Introduction to Eduardo Fukushima's "How to Overcome the Great Tiredness?" as part of the event on August 22.
Physical Introduction @ Dance in August, August 15-30, 2014
Following the successful collaboration at last year's edition of Dance in August, choreographers and dancers will once again join MA CoDE students to offer a physical insight into their work in warm-ups prior to performances as part of the festival events. In contrast to conventional introductory events, this offers the opportunity to experience the artistic signature of the choreographers at first hand through exercises and concrete examples on their own bodies. Participation and dancing is encouraged. The format was developed by Prof. Ingo Diehl together with Bettina Masuch, the former artistic director of the festival. This year MA CoDE alumna Anja Bornsek takes over the direction for the first time.

Summer Residency at Hollins University, USA, July 14 - August 2, 2014
During the Frankfurt residency, M.F.A. students from Hollins University will join MA CoDE students in attending classes with internationally renowned artists and scholars and exchanging ideas with each other. The three-week residency in Frankfurt is a cooperation with the Master's program Contemporary Dance Education at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and the Forsythe Company.

Under the direction of students Hannah Bühler and Ewelina Zielonka, the young people of the current Joblinge group will present the results of the week-long workshop in the large studio of the ZuKT training area at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst.

As part of the symposium of the Live Legacy Project - A Dance Fund Legacy Project, Prof. Ingo Diehl will participate in the panel discussion "Tracing the Judson Migration: New Perspectives and Educational Directions". The final presentation "Breaking In Breaking Up" of the Altana Taster Days will take place on July 3, 2014 at Frankfurt LAB. The dancers of the Forsythe Company, supported by alumni Jason Adam Jacobs and Gregory Livingston as well as students of the MA CoDE previously introduced the students to contemporary movement forms during three KulturTage.

MA CoDE Speed Dating 2014, June 25, 2014
Last year, the MA CoDE devised a mentoring scheme to support the development of students' individual work priorities. In order to match students with potential mentors, a speed-dating session was held in which all participants shared their respective expertise. MA CoDE Documentation Project, 3 - 13 June 2014
This semester, students of the MA CoDE had the opportunity to work with Baptiste Andrien and Florence Corin (contredanse), Nancy Stark Smith, Andrea Keiz and Wibke Hartewig on various methods and questions of dance documentation. Finally, the aim of the 10-day project was to create their own documentation of Nancy Stark Smith's teaching units

In the context of the expert forum "What is dance for children" at the international festival Theater der Welt 2014, Prof. Ingo Diehl discusses with Martina Kessel and Moos van den Broek the topic "Dance (theatre) for young audiences - developments and opportunities", which is dedicated to current questions of developments in dance for young audiences and gives space to exchange experiences about the opportunities and challenges in the development of this art form.

TanzSprint14, May 18 - 25, 2014
Graduates and students of the Master's programme Contemporary Dance Education (MA CoDE, formerly MAztp) at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) will organiseTanzSprint14 from 18 - 25 May 2014. In the seventh edition, the dancers will dance together for a week in three studios and several workshops. The 16 teachers from the international MA CoDE network will provide an up-to-date insight into various dance techniques and working methods. Contemporary exchange and mediation formats will provide a variety of experiences with the art form. Participants of all ages and with different levels of previous experience are cordiallyinvited to TanzSprint14in order to train together, improvise or exchange ideas with other interested parties.
This year's TanzSprint will take place for the first time in cooperation with our long-standing partner Tanzlabor_21/Tanzbasis Frankfurt_Rhein_Main in the rooms of the Künstlerhaus Mousonturm.
In addition, the Master's programme will be carried out in close connection with the professional field in the association of the Hessian Theatre Academy and in cooperation with The Forsythe Company/Motion Bank

Kick-Off TanzSprint14 @ Tanztag Rhein_Main, May 17, 2014
As part of Tanztag Rhein_Main 2014, an open teaching format will be offered by students of the internationally oriented Master's program Contemporary Dance Education. The kick-off to TanzSprint not only provides insights into their special way of teaching dance but at the same time opens the workshop series TanzSprint, which will take place from 18.5. in cooperation with Tanzlabor_21 at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm. On Tanztag Rhein_Main, a new training approach will be offered every 30 minutes over a period of 2 hours, incorporating elements from various dance and body techniques such as yoga, BMC and dance improvisation techniques. HTA Postgraduate Program "Artistic Research", May 8, 2014
For the first time, the Hessian Theatre Academy is awarding four artistic research scholarships to former HTA students. Congratulations to MA CoDE alumni Lili Mihajlovic Rampre and Jason Adam Jacobs, who will each receive seed funding of up to €6,000 for their research projects.

Wild Week "Dance Techniques," April 22-25, 2014
Fourth-generation MA CoDE students teach professional training for the first time in daily rotating sessions. Over the course of Wild Week, various modern and contemporary dance techniques will be trained and explored in individual and team teaching sessions that build on each other. The trainings are based on the results of the international research project Dance Techniques 2010
Physical Introduction: Saarländisches Staatstheater in Saarbrücken, 29 March 2014
After the successful implementation of the new mediation format "Physical Introduction" at the international dance festival Tanz in August 2013, MA CoDE alumni in collaboration with the course and the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken will also implement the format in Saarbrücken. Gregory Livingston and Anja Bornsek (third generation MA CoDE), in collaboration with dancers from the company, will offer a physical mediation format to the performance of ANASTASIA/SHADOWS on four dates. A fourth generation student will assist with the format.
