MA CoDE: Summer Semester 17
Physical Introduction in Gothenburg, 15 - 16 September 2017
Physical Introduction is an audience format developed and executed by MA CoDE. With the aim to further explore the format in close cooperation, Prof. Ingo Diehl and MA CoDE alumna Anja Bornsek will integrate Physical Introduction into the outreach programme of Göteborgs Operans Danskompani.
Hollins European Summer School, 24 - 29 July 2017
This year the MA CoDE will participate for one week in the European Summer School at Hollins University (USA). The school organizes an annual three-week residency program in cooperation with MA CoDE and the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company. Renowned international artists and scholars give trainings, workshops and seminars, and top-class performances can be seen. The programme is curated by Christopher Roman. Jeffrey Bullock and Prof. Ingo Diehl will teach a seminar together.

Speed-Dating, 21 July 2017
At the MA CoDE Speed-Dating, MA CoDE students will meet and exchange ideas with a variety of invited experts from different fields. Afterwards, the students choose their individual mentors, who will accompany them during the next semester
Examinations, 19 and 20 July 2017
On 19 and 20 July the exams in modules 1,2,4 will take place and the first year of the 6th MA CoDE Generation will be completed.
Capital of Culture Paphos excursion, 2 - 16 July 2017
At the invitation of the 2017 Capital of Culture Paphos, the MA CoDE programme will develop and implement a site-specific and participatory project on site. In Paphos, a collaboration with the Architecture Department of the University of Neapolis is planned for the residency. At the same time, MA CoDE alumni are also invited to Pafos to develop their own projects.

MA CoDE Application 2017, July 1, 2017
The dates for the next MA CoDE application period in 2017 are set: the application deadline is October 2, 2017, and auditions (by invitation only) will be held on November 18-19 in Frankfurt, Germany, and December 16 in Helsinki, Finland. Start of studies is in April 2018. Further information under Application and Qualifying Examination
HTA lecture series on mediation, June 22, 2017
Three representatives of the Hessian State Ballet will be guests and refer to regional mediation formats: Bruno Heyndrickx, Curator and Associate Ballet Director; Nira Priore Nouak, Director of Dance Mediation; and Jason Adam Jacobs, Artist in Residence. Resources LAB Digital Publications, 24-27 April 2017
Between 24 and 27 April, a four-day Resources Lab on Digital Publications will take place at Mousonturm with our guest lecturer and Motionbank project leader Dr Scott deLahunta together with Prof Ingo Diehl. Building on similar formats in previous years, the physical translation of digital publications will be explored and contextualized in this Lab together with invited guests.
Future Conference of FB3, 21 April 2017
Prepared by the Executive Board and the Dean of Department 3, a Future Conference will take place on 21 April with the theme "innovative international Master's programmes". Invited are: Eva-Maria Hörster (Inter-University Centre Berlin), Hayat Erdogan (Zurich University of the Arts) and Wolfram Heberle (Bern University of the Arts). Table discussions will focus on study reforms for education, renewal processes and changes in study programmes as well as new tendencies in the performing arts. Among others, Célestine Hennermann is responsible for the table.
HTA Ring Lecture on Mediation, April 20, 2017
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, MA CoDE is hosting the Summer Term 17 HTA Ring Lecture on the current debate around the topic of mediation. Hortensia Völckers, Artistic Director of the German Federal Cultural Foundation, has agreed to open the event. The discussion will be moderated by Prof. Ingo Diehl.
