Speed Dating, 14 February 2019
At the MA CoDE Speed Dating, MA CoDE students meet and exchange ideas with a variety of invited experts from different fields. Afterwards, the students choose their personal mentors who will accompany them in the third semester.
Exams, December 20, 2018 and February 11 + 13, 2019
Examinations in Module 1 will take place on 20 December 2018 and examinations in Modules 2 and 4 will take place on 11 and 13 February 2019. The second academic year of the 7th MA CoDE Generation will close on 15.2.
Funding and application procedures, February 6, 2019

In the practical application of "Touch and Manipulation", masseur Federico Canosa and dancer, choreographer and yoga teacher Kristina Veit will address body techniques such as massage practice.
David Bloom, January 21-22, 2019
Dancer and choreographer David Bloom draws on contemporary dance practice in his seminar on "Touch & Sexuality - the Experience of Borders."
Power, Touch and Manipulation, January and February 2019
Triggered by the current "Me Too" debate, we will explore the theme of "Power, Touch and Manipulation" during the winter term. To this end, several international guest lecturers will be invited to address the different areas of this relevant topic for dance and teaching.
Documentation of Dance > new Projects < with Contredanse Bruxelles, January 10-11, 2019
Florence Corin and Baptiste Andrien from Contredanse will give insights into their research and documentation results and teach the current generation of students about different methods and issues in dance documentation.
Cultural Education, January 2019
For the first time, the practical application of Cultural Education will take place in an integrative kindergarten of Lebenshilfe e.V. on three dates (23.1., 24.1., 30.1). This work will be theoretically underpinned in the course of the semester and reflected on in the exchange.
Developmental Patterns & Psychology, Trude Cone, Stephan Berg, Jan. 14-17, 2019
Trude Cone, long-time director and lecturer at SNDO - School for New Dance Development - Amsterdam, will work with students on Developmental Patterns (BMC) as a practical complement to the seminars in Developmental Psychology (5.12.18 & 17.1.19), which this time will be taught for the first time by motologist Stephan Berg.
MA CoDE in Outokumpu / Finland, 8 - 16 December 2018
MA CoDE is going on a field trip to Finland. During this working week MA CoDE students will present current teaching formats and develop a curriculum of the future for the training classes in Outokumpu for this purpose. The exchange with students and lecturers at North Karelia College was designed in collaboration with Riveria / tanssin koulutus / dance education in Outokumpu.
Dramaturgy session, November 30, 2018
Larissa Bischoff, Dramaturg Schlosstheater Moers, graduate of the Dramaturgy programme at Goethe University and former research assistant MA CoDE, will share dramaturgy concepts, dramaturgical structures and ideas with Célestine Hennermann and the 7th generation students.
Wild Week, November 26-30, 2018
MA CoDE students teach professional training at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in daily changing units - these are designed for dance houses or choreographic centres. The thematic focus of the team and group teachings of the current Wilde Woche is the exploration of different translations of training approaches from Dance Techniques 2010 and Improvisation Technologies.
Visiting the Remscheid Academy, 28 October - 2 November 2018
For the first time, the MA CoDE is a guest at the Academy of Cultural Education. Together with students, topics and formats of dance mediation in current discourse will be explored in an open process: What forms of dance mediation are being used? How can dance education open up to current topics? How do theory and practice intertwine? The students teach the participants and establish connections to various historical and contemporary dance techniques.
Scott deLahunta, annotations/digital translations on Gill Clarke, October 17-19, 2018
Gill Clarke's teaching structures, created as part of Dance Techniques 2010, are the exemplary focus of this seminar. These will be analysed and explored through annotation. Together with Dr. Scott deLahunta (guest lecturer and project leader of Motionbank) a discourse on annotations and digital translations will take place. He will be supported by David Rittershaus, University of Mainz, who will give an introduction to the new Piecemaker version.
Start of the semester, October 15, 2018
The semester starts with translation processes of various contemporary and historical dance techniques. Presentations and practical training sessions by students will form the basis for in-depth exploration and the development of projects this winter semester. The kick-off will be accompanied by Prof. Ingo Diehl and Susanne Triebel.
