A joint participatory project by the Alte Oper Frankfurt and the European Central Bank in collaboration with the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts

Application deadline: December 2, 2024

For applicants from Frankfurt, RheinMain and the surrounding federal states:

  • Audition: January 19, 2025, individual appointment in a small group (approx. 20-30 minutes) between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m

For applicants from other European countries and outside Frankfurt, Rhine-Main and the surrounding federal states:

  • Until January 19, 2025: Submission of a sound recording. More detailed information will follow after your written application.

Rehearsal dates:

  • Fri, March 21, 2025: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m
  • Sat, March 22, 2025: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m
  • Sun, March 23, 2025: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m
  • Fri, May 9, 2025: 6 pm to 10 pm (together with the HfMDK Choir)
  • Sat, May 10, 2025: 10 am to 6 pm (together with the HfMDK Choir)
  • Sun, May 11, 2025: 10 am to 6 pm (together with the HfMDK Choir)
  • Tue, May 20, 2025: 6 pm to 10 pm (with the HfMDK Choir and Symphony Orchestra)
  • Fri, May 23, 2025: 6 pm to 10 pm (with the HfMDK Choir and Symphony Orchestra)
  • Sat, May 24, 2025: dress rehearsal & 7 pm concert in the Alte Oper

Personal information

Musical information

Proof of active membership in a regularly rehearsing and performance-oriented choir may exempt you from the audition. Prof. Florian Lohmann will make the final decision in each case.

Declaration of consent

The project will be documented photographically and on video. The photo and film recordings as well as any interview statements by me may be used for the following purposes and passed on to the press:

- Annual program of the Alte Oper Frankfurt
- Program of events HfMDK Frankfurt
- Website Alte Oper Frankfurt / HfMDK Frankfurt
- Social media channels Alte Oper Frankfurt / HfMDK Frankfurt
- Use and distribution of photos and film material for (press) coverage
- Use and distribution of photos and film material for the press and public relations work of Alte Oper Frankfurt / HfMDK Frankfurt
- Film, digital and printed project documentation of the Alte Oper Frankfurt / HfMDK Frankfurt
