The Trio Chimera was founded under the supervision of Patrick Juedt at the Bern University of the Arts and graduated with a master's degree in chamber music in 2023. In Italy, it studied with the Quartetto di Cremona at the Stauffer Center for Strings and completed postgraduate studies at the Conservatorio A. Boito in Parma with the Trio di Parma. Further musical inspiration came from his encounters with Mischa Maisky, Amiram Ganz, Antonio Meneses, Eckart Runge and Clive Greensmith.

The ensemble has already performed in many European cities such as Budapest, Madrid, Barcelona, Bern and Vilnius. In April 2023, there was a concert with Simone Gramaglia in Addis Ababa, in conjunction with a master class for the students of the Yared University of Music. In 2024, the trio went on a tour of the USA with concerts in Washington D. C., Tenafly and Lancaster. In Italy, it was invited to the 66th Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, the Società dei Concerti in Milan, the Società del Quartetto in Vicenza, the 55th Festival delle Nazioni in Città di Castello and the 25th Viotti Festival, among others.

In 2022 it held an artist residency at the University of the Arts in Tirana, where it took part in a master class in composition with Johannes Kretz (MdW Vienna), Jana Andreevska (Faculty of Music in Skopje) and Annelies Van Parys (Royal Conservatory of Brussels). In 2023 it was invited by Henk Guittart of the Schoenberg Quartet for a residency at the 23rd Festival Pergolesi Spontini in Jesi.
