A new record in scholarship awards.

The HfMDK would like to thank all supporters!

On Wednesday, 27 November 2024, this year's Deutschlandstipendium award ceremony took place at the HfMDK - numerous sponsors and scholarship holders came to celebrate the important funding program together and to get to know each other.

In addition to the welcoming words and speeches by HfMDK President Prof. Elmar Fulda, the Chairman of the Richard Wagner Association, Dirk Jenders and the Chairwoman of the AStA of the HfMDK and this year's Deutschlandstipendium scholarship holder, Hannah Lindner, the heart of the evening was the artistic contributions of the scholarship holders, who contributed to a colorful and varied program with their performances.

To kick things off, the audience was encouraged to sing along: Two scholarship holders from the "Choir Conducting" master's degree program led the audience and, under their direction, quickly created a polyphonic sound experience in the small hall.

Later in the evening, BA Dance students delighted the audience with an impressive dance improvisation. Towards the end, students from the "Big Band" master's degree course struck a calmer note and rounded off the program with an atmospheric piece "Winter Tales" written by the players themselves.

The scholarship holders put a lot of passion, joy and lightness into their contributions - this spark was passed on to the audience right from the start.

After the ceremonial presentation of certificates to this year's scholarship holders, sponsors and students had the opportunity to get to know each other and talk to each other, make contacts and build networks over drinks in the foyer.

The students repeatedly emphasized how valuable and important the Deutschlandstipendium and the associated financial support is for them.

HfMDK President Elmar Fulda put it aptly in his welcoming speech: The Deutschlandstipendium helps people to concentrate more on their artistic studies and to realize their own dreams.

The HfMDK has been awarding the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship since the 2016/17 winter semester. With almost one hundred scholarships, it is now the university's largest and most successful funding program. A total of 99 scholarships were awarded to students of music, theater and dance in this funding year - a remarkable number.

The Society of Friends and Sponsors (GFF) is once again supporting the successful scholarship program this year: in addition to the 73 Deutschlandstipendien that the HfMDK receives through the federal program, the GFF is very generously doubling the matching for a further 26 scholarships.
