Bach danced!

Un­der the tit­le "Bach ge­tanzt!", the en­sem­ble fran­co­for­te, con­sis­ting of stu­dents from the HfMDK Frank­furt, will pre­sent an ex­tra­or­di­na­ry con­cert ex­pe­ri­ence on No­vem­ber 3 and 4, 2024, in which Jo­hann Se­bas­ti­an Bach's mu­sic will be com­bi­ned with con­tem­pora­ry dance. The fo­cus will be on three can­ta­tas: BWV 115 "Ma­che dich, mein Herz, be­reit", BWV 116 "Du Frie­de­fürst, Herr Jesu Christ" and BWV 139 "Wohl dem, der sich auf sei­nen Gott".

Nike Tiecke, Fran­zis­ka de Gil­de, Jean Phil­ipp Chey and Jo­sua Bern­beck will per­form the solo parts, while dan­cers Sofía Bo­nil­la Pé­rez and Lucía Ru­bio Bel­da will lend the works an ad­di­tio­nal di­men­si­on through dance im­pro­vi­sa­ti­on. The mu­si­cal di­rec­tion of the con­cert is in the hands of Mo­ritz Tem­pel.

The con­certs will take place on No­vem­ber 3 at 6 pm in the Jo­han­nis­kir­che Born­heim and on No­vem­ber 4 at 7 pm (Small hall) in the HfMDK Frank­furt. Ad­mis­si­on is free.

This in­no­va­ti­ve pro­ject pro­mi­ses an ex­ci­ting fu­si­on of mu­sic and mo­ve­ment and is sup­por­ted by Kunst­PAKT of the HfMDK Frank­furt.
