Bach danced!

Under the title "Bach getanzt!", the ensemble francoforte, consisting of students from the HfMDK Frankfurt, will present an extraordinary concert experience on November 3 and 4, 2024, in which Johann Sebastian Bach's music will be combined with contemporary dance. The focus will be on three cantatas: BWV 115 "Mache dich, mein Herz, bereit", BWV 116 "Du Friedefürst, Herr Jesu Christ" and BWV 139 "Wohl dem, der sich auf seinen Gott".

Nike Tiecke, Franziska de Gilde, Jean Philipp Chey and Josua Bernbeck will perform the solo parts, while dancers Sofía Bonilla Pérez and Lucía Rubio Belda will lend the works an additional dimension through dance improvisation. The musical direction of the concert is in the hands of Moritz Tempel.

The concerts will take place on November 3 at 6 pm in the Johanniskirche Bornheim and on November 4 at 7 pm (Small hall) in the HfMDK Frankfurt. Admission is free.

This innovative project promises an exciting fusion of music and movement and is supported by KunstPAKT of the HfMDK Frankfurt.
