Robyn Blair (IEMA, horn) and Fanny Meteier (CNSMDP, tuba) met at the Lucerne Festival Academy and were immediately inspired by their work together. Their previous experiences as multidisciplinary performers (contemporary dance, theater) led them to dream up a next-level artwork that fuses their core interests and values: performance art, ecology, generative improvisation and mountain goats.

Laura Ahumada Garcia (HfMDK, Dance) is a freelance dance artist, educator and choreographer in Germany who explores themes of spontaneity, absurdity, simplicity, Latin American fire and finding togetherness in dance. In CRUX, she experiments with improvised dance paired with climbing-inspired movements directly on the boulder wall, which react to and trigger the sound environment created by the trio.

For CRUX, Moritz Fischer (IEMA, sound direction) is developing a special motion-capturing interface to capture Laura's movements so that they are translated and trigger live electronics and lighting in real time, which organically connect with the action on stage and become part of the global generative composition as the performers improvise.
