Goodbye "project loan bill" - hello barcode!

news

From the winter semester 2024/25, the manually completed project loan form will be a thing of the past. Sheet music for all upcoming university concert projects (choir, orchestra, ensembles...) will be booked to your library account, just like other media.

What does not change:

  • The loan period for project materials always expires approximately 7 days after the last concert/project day.
  • Exactly the copy that you present to us when you return it will be booked as returned - regardless of whether you swapped the sheet music in the rehearsal. ATTENTION: This means that project copies may still show up as borrowed on your account even though you believe you have handed in the sheet music.

What will change:

  • Project sheet music will be posted to your personal user account upon presentation of your library card. You no longer have to fill in the project loan form.
  • You will receive a one-off, automated return reminder 7 days before the end of the loan period - just as you would with other media loans!
  • For project sheet music that is not returned on time you will be reminded individually and automatically after the grace period of 3 days - but not at weekends. This means that fees are charged for each individual score / each individual copy.
  • The reminder interval is always exactly 14 days.
  • You can find all loans in your user account.
  • It also makes work much easier for library staff in terms of reminders, reminders, de-registration and booking.

If you are unable to return your project notes on time, please send an e-mail to ausleihe.bibliothek@hfmdk-frankfurt.de
