How can I make an appointment for a recording?
Please submit your requests regarding recordings/productions (audio/video) via the web form.
What information does the sound engineer/video producer need before the recording begins?
The following information is helpful for the sound engineer:
- Desired date and time
- Program
- Cast
- Special features such as amplification, feed, ...
- For recordings for competitions: requirements of the organizers and, if necessary, special forms
What else should be considered before recording?
- A complete copy of the sheet music should be brought to the production. Please do not send by email! (For uncut recordings, a copy is not absolutely necessary)
- For video productions: Please send us all information (names of performers, ensemble name if applicable, instrument, works) by email!
- For recordings with historical instruments, transportation should be clarified and sufficient time for tuning should be allowed.
- Please pay attention to appropriate clothing for video recordings; also for the accompanists!
For my competition, the sound engineer/video producer must certify that the recordings are not edited or otherwise processed. What is the best way to do this?
It is best to send the form (if there is one) with your admission request or bring it with you to the admission appointment.
How are the finished recordings delivered?
You will receive a download link within a few days, which is valid for 30 days.
In my recording, the sound and picture are out of sync. What can I do?
Always use the VLC Media Player for playback. It can be downloaded free of charge here. According to our experience, difficulties occur more often with other playback software.
How can I edit my video myself?
It is best to use the AVIDEMUX software for this purpose. Please refer to our Quick Start Guide.
Can I borrow equipment from the recording studio, such as microphones and cables?
It is not possible to borrow technology. We kindly ask you to refrain from such requests. Media can only be borrowed via the housekeeping service.
Is an internship possible for pupils or students?
Unfortunately, internships in the studios of the AV department are not possible.
